After graduating from Ankara University, Department of Biology, she completed her master’s degree in Prokaryote Genetics Laboratory at the same university, and her doctorate in Molecular Biology at Anadolu University Institute of Science, Biology Department. She worked as a Specialist at Anadolu University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Toxicology. She was dismissed from the university on the grounds that she signed the Peace Declaration in 2016. Her research interests are in pharmacogenetics, pharmacoepigenetics and gene expression. Apart from this, she has also dealt with issues such as the society-technology relationship, evolution, expropriation of knowledge, etc. on different platforms. She is a founding member of Eskişehir School Solidarity and Research Association.
Ankara Üniversitesi Biyoloji Bölümü’nden mezun olduktan sonra aynı üniversitede Prokaryot Genetiği Laboratuvarında yüksek lisansını, Anadolu Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Biyoloji Bölümü’nde Moleküler Biyoloji doktorasını tamamladı. Anadolu Üniversitesi, Eczacılık Fakültesi Farmasötik Toksikoloji Bölümü’nde Uzman olarak görev yaptı. 2016 yılında Barış bildirisine imza attığını gerekçesi ile üniversitedeki görevine son verildi. Araştırma alanları farmakogenetik, farmakoepigenetik ve gen ekspresyonu üzerinedir. Bunun dışında toplum-teknoloji ilişkisi, evrim, bilginin kamulaştırılması vb. konularla da farklı platformlarda ilgilenmiştir. Eskişehir Okulu Dayanışma ve Araştırma Derneğinin kurucu üyesidir.
